Troubleshooting
The common problems, and what to do about each.
My AI does not see Homla#
- Check the URL. It should be
https://app.homla.ai/mcp, or your workspace address from Home. A stray comma or full stop at the end is fine. - Finish the sign-in. The first call opens your browser. If you closed that tab, ask your AI to use Homla again, or reconnect in the app's connector settings.
- Restart the app. Claude Desktop, Cursor and VS Code load connectors when they start.
- Claude Code. Run
claude mcp list. Ifhomlaneeds sign-in, runclaude mcp login homla, or type/mcpin a session and choose Authenticate. - Codex and Gemini CLI. Check that
npxworks in your terminal. The bridge needs Node.js. - ChatGPT. Your plan or workspace may not allow custom connectors. See Connect ChatGPT.
My AI sees Homla but not a tool#
- Is the tool connected? Open Connectors and check the Connected tab.
- Does your role include it? Ask an admin to check your role in Roles.
- Is the account yours, or shared with you? Someone else's account is private until they share it.
- Start a new chat. Some apps only load the list of actions at the start.
My AI says it did something, but nothing changed#
That was probably the dry run. Writes only report what they would do until confirmed. Tell your AI to go ahead. In the CLI, add --confirm. See Approvals and dry runs.
An action is refused#
- Read only. Your role, the share or the API key may be read only.
- Admin action. Admin actions need two-step sign-in. Turn it on, then reconnect your AI.
- Several accounts. If your AI gets
account_required, tell it which account to use.
A tool stopped working#
- Reconnect needed: the sign-in expired. Press Reconnect.
- Key no longer works: the key was revoked or changed in the tool. Press Update credentials and paste a new one.
The sign-in link does not work#
- A sign-in link works once, for 10 minutes. A sign-up confirmation link works once, for 24 hours. Request a new one.
- Some email security tools open links before you do, which uses them up. Request a new link and open it straight away, or use a password.
- No email? Check spam, and that you typed your work address.
I lost my authenticator#
There are no recovery codes yet. Email kevin@jollycommerce.io from your work address and we will reset it.
I cannot invite people#
- Only admins can invite, and admin actions need two-step sign-in.
- The Free plan includes one person. Move to a paid plan first. See Plans and billing.
The CLI says "command not found"#
The command is wedge, not homla. Open a new terminal so it picks up your PATH, or run ~/.wedge/bin/wedge. Exit code 3 means you need to run wedge login.
An agent did not run#
- Waiting for a computer: the runner computer is off or asleep. See Where agents run.
- It hit its daily limit of automatic runs.
- It is paused.
- An action is waiting in Approvals.
Still stuck?#
Email kevin@jollycommerce.io with what you tried and what you saw.
