Where agents run
An agent needs a computer to run on. Use a teammate's computer, or a cloud box that is always on.
The engine#
Each agent runs on Claude Code or Codex. You pick one under Limits and engine. The agent uses that AI account, so your existing AI plan pays for its thinking.
On a teammate's computer#
A teammate's Mac, Windows or Linux computer can run agents with their own Claude Code or Codex login. Install the Homla CLI, then:
wedge agents runner install --name "Office Mac"The computer then appears under Runners. Manage it with:
wedge agents runner status
wedge agents runner pause
wedge agents runner resume
wedge agents runner uninstallRuns wait while the computer is off or asleep. Their status shows Waiting for a computer.
On a cloud box#
A cloud box is a small server that is always on. It costs $25, $50 or $100 a month, by size. Cloud boxes are switched on for your workspace by Homla, so ask us first.
- Save an AI loginAn admin saves a Claude or Codex login under Runners, Your AI account.
