Triggers

An agent runs on a schedule, when work arrives, or when you ask. One agent can have several triggers.

The triggers#

TriggerRuns when
ScheduleAt set times, in your time zone. Add several schedules if needed.
EmailAn email reaches the agent's own address.
WebhookAnother app calls the agent's webhook address.
SlackSomeone messages the agent in Slack.
GitHubSomeone mentions it in a pull request or issue comment.
Run nowYou press Run now on its page.

You can also chat with any agent you are allowed to use, on its page.

Email#

Each agent gets its own email address, built from its short name and your workspace. You find it on the agent's page.

  • Forward work to it, or copy it in, like a colleague.
  • The agent's mailbox shows what it received and sent.
  • By default an agent sends at most 20 emails an hour and 100 a day.

Agent email addresses may still end in wedgeai.work, the old Homla domain. That is expected.

Webhook#

Turning on the webhook gives you an address and a secret. The secret is shown once. Send it in the X-Homla-Secret header. Rotate it any time, and the old one stops at once.

Slack#

An agent can have its own Slack app, set to In Homla and Slack. Its status shows Live as @handle once installed. Approvals for its actions then appear in Slack with buttons.

Limits#

Email and webhook triggers start at most 30 runs an hour per agent by default. The daily run limit you set applies to all automatic runs. See Limits.
