What keeps running

  • Videos with a real person talking to camera. Three of four brands run one for over 30 days.
  • Brand B has kept the same "price per wear" carousel for 94 days. It likely pays for itself.

Three ideas to test

  • A 20 second founder video on why you chose European linen.
  • A wash test: the Overshirt after 1 and after 30 washes.
  • Cost per wear for your best seller, against fast fashion.

Every Monday, the agent checks your competitors' active ads. You get what is new, what keeps running and three ideas to test.

How we estimate the time saved: Scrolling ad libraries for 4 to 6 competitors and writing notes takes most teams 2 hours a week, when they do it at all.

Who it is for

Stores that run Meta or TikTok ads. You want ideas based on what works for others. Your marketer or agency gets the same brief each week.

The skill to save

Copy it into Skills, then New skill. Edit the parts in brackets.

Skill
Name: Competitor ad brief

Every week:

1. Read our competitor list and our offer from company memory.
2. For each competitor, get their active ads from TrendTrack: count, new this week, longest running.
3. For the 3 longest running ads per brand, note the format, hook and offer.
4. Write "What keeps running": patterns seen in at least 2 brands.
5. Write "Three ideas to test" for our product. Each idea: format, hook, why.
6. Do not copy their wording. Ideas must fit our offer and voice.

Long running ads are a sign, not proof, that an ad works. Say so when it matters.

What stays under your control

  • Read only. It looks at public ad data, nothing more.
  • Guests with an end date. Give your freelancer or agency access that stops on its own.
  • Your competitors, your list. Change it in memory any time.

Good to know

TrendTrack shows public ads, not their spend or results. The brief treats "long running" as a hint, and says so.

Your own ad results need Meta Ads or Google Ads. Those connectors are not in Homla yet.
